Lace 'em up tight guys! Let's go compete! It's a new day for KO Basketball!

Welcome, Coach Joey Martin!

bullet

We're pleased to have Coach Martin at KO!

bullet

Thanks, Coach Martin, for contacting me. Here's part of what he had to say:

"My wife, Tami Martin, and I are very excited about the opportunity to work at Klein Oak HS. We have four children that are very excited also. Our oldest daughter Taylor is 12 and will be in the 7th grade, our "boy girl twins" Samuel and Savanna are 7 and will be in the 2nd grade. Our newest addition, Houston, is 4 months. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not that we named our last child "Houston," even though we call him "Hoot".

bullet

Take a look at part of Coach Martin's resume. It's very impressive!

bullet

Thanks to Coach Lair Crawford for handling a difficult situation with his usual professionalism. He's been our head guy through the spring and we appreciate all he's done. We hope, Lair, that you'll stay and provide some continuity in our program. Plus, we're lucky to have you at KO!

The Panthers wanted this one badly, but found themselves trailing by eight at the half. But heart won out as the Panthers stormed back in the 3rd quarter to take a five point lead into the 4th. Then they weathered the storm of a strong Spring comeback to grab the victory down the stretch 58-51!

Special Kudos to the Varsity after Collins game!

bullet

Unfortunately it wasn't a win on the scoreboard. But in the 23 years your Webmaster has watched KO varsity basketball (every game but five - and I was scouting those nights) I have never been more proud of a KO team than I was Friday night. Folks, these young men are warriors! Having been through so much, and playing with only 8 players for the second game in a day, the kind of effort we saw on Friday was miraculous. And inspiring. I know who my sports heroes are.

bullet

Kudos also to Coach Host and Coach Crawford for getting our guys ready to show their best. Well, not quite their best. That's coming!

Head Coach Tim Host!
We could hardly believe our good fortune two years ago at being able to hire Tim Host as our 2nd assistant. Why? He had already been "Assistant Coach of the Year" under Chris Bailes (Spring H.S.), a head coach, and the leader of the TABC basketball camp. Now we are proud to announce that this terrific, state-recognized, coach is the leader of the Panthers!

Please click here for a message
from Coach Host!

Assistant Coach
Lair Crawford
Coach Crawford comes to K.O. after two years as the head coach at Anahuac HS. He will coach the J.V. Panthers and serve as Assistant Head Coach for the varsity. Welcome, Coach Crawford!

Coaching Changes

It's hard to say goodbye to good friends, but we certainly wish all the best to Head Coach Steve Dibble, Assistant Head Coach Bill Bloodworth, and Coach Jim Barber.

bullet

Steve Dibble has led the Panther program for the last three years. We made considerable progress during that period as Coach Dibble set high standards for competitiveness and conduct. It showed. Coach Dibble decided to move closer to home, taking the Varsity Assistant's job at Cy-Ridge H.S. (He will also be the head cross country coach.) Note from Coach Dibble.

bullet

Bill Bloodworth was the Assistant Head Coach under former Coach Ken Butts (one year) and Coach Dibble (three years). During the Dibble years, Coach Bloodworth controlled the offense and called the plays. Coach Dibble always said "We have three head coaches" (including Coach Tim Host). We'll miss you, Coach Blood! Coach Bloodworth took the head golf coach job at Elkins H.S.

bullet Jim Barber was only at Oak for a year, but he did a great job with our Sophomore team and we'll miss him. He took a new football position in the Ft. Bend district.

Some of these positions have already been filled, but I'll let our new head coach make the announcement. It's coming shortly!

Panthers winners in the end!

bullet Our Panthers went out winners Tuesday night in their home gym with a hard fought, emotional 49-41 victory over a tough bunch of New Caney Eagles.
bullet

The task was made tougher as the Panthers shooting touch vanished at the half. 2nd half numbers: 22% from 2 point range, 14% from three, and 57% from the free throw line. Coach Dibble preaches that when the shots aren't falling, you can depend on defense and hustle on the boards. That's exactly what won the game down the stretch. The Panthers really demonstrated their heart and mental toughness in their final night on the court.

bullet

Great job, gentlemen! We are so proud of you! The 2005-2006 season is gone, but it will not be forgotten. Neither will the tremendous young men who made 34 games seem too few.

Congratulations, Freshmen Gold - Undefeated District 18-4A Champs!

bullet

Does someone have stats on how many steals these guys had this season? Wow! You were a treat to watch! And the future looks really good from here!

Panthers down Willis on the Road!

bullet The Panthers faced an inspired and determined senior night effort from the Wildkats of Willis. Tough defense on both sides was the order of the night. The Panthers prevailed 52-44.
bullet

Great job, Panthers! We're proud of you!

bullet

The Panthers will finish the 2006 season Tuesday night at home against New Caney.

Panthers battle hard but fall to Brenham 75-51

bullet Facing the #4 team in the state in their home gym, and without the services of Kyle Flores, the Panthers knew the task was formidable.
bullet

The effort was outstanding. The execution failed for a few spurts, costing the Panthers a chance at the upset. The 24 turnovers were too costly to overcome. Overall, though, the Panthers did well against the tough Brenham pressure.

bullet

We're proud of you, Panthers! Now let's get two wins to finish this season with pride!

Panthers fall to Waller 63-58

bullet A slow start cost the Panthers a chance to win this one. The Panther turned the ball over twice in the first 30 seconds and 13 times the first half.
bullet

The game, though, was very much in doubt down to the last moment as the Panthers fought hard the second half but just didn't seem to be able to get the shots to drop. Specifically a 21% shooting performance from three point range hurt drastically.

bullet

The Panthers will have to regroup by Tuesday as they face the #4 state ranked Brenham Cubs in their home gym. Go get 'em Panthers, we have only glory to gain!

Panthers drown Caney Creek!

bullet 77-39, to be exact. Great job, Panthers! Totally team, and totally characteristic of our Panthers!
bullet

Coach Dibble was concerned about complacency after the easy victory at home earlier in the season. He needn't have been. The Panthers took care of business from the starting tip, won by Kyle, to the tune of a 23-11 1st quarter lead and a 40-18 halftime advantage.

bullet

Coach Dibble challenged our guys to win it with defense the 2nd half. Caney Creek didn't score until well after the starters were pulled in the 3rd quarter. Then they did get a little hot, but not for poor Panther defense; they just started hitting shots once the issue was well out of doubt.

bullet

Great job by everyone! 9 Panthers scored. 10 Panthers rebounded. 9 Panthers had assists. 7 Panthers had steals. 57% from 2 point range, 54% from 3 point range, 72% from the FT line. Wow!

Senior Night 2006

bullet Pictures from Jan. 27 ceremony

Panthers fall to Livingston

bullet What can we say? The Panthers lost 74-65 after holding a three point lead at 34-31 at the half. That was the pace we needed.
bullet But Livingston put up 25 points (to the Panthers 15) in the 3rd quarter as they got layup after layup. It was too much for the Panthers to overcome, although the effort was heroic. And the game was much closer than the final margin indicates.
bullet The effort was there, and the Panthers did play well, the Panthers simply didn't shoot the ball well. 37% from two point range will not beat good teams. It just wasn't falling for us. End of story.

Friday Schedule Changes

bullet Freshmen Gold will play at 5:30 against Livingston.
bullet Sophomores will play at 4:00 against Montgomery. See the Sophomore Schedule for future games.

Panthers fall to Montgomery

bullet

This hurts too much for any words. It hurts simply because it probably shuts the door for an unbelievably awesome group of Panthers. We hurt for all of them, but especially the seniors.

bullet

The Panthers led the entire game, except for a moment at 20-19, and then at the buzzer 62-61. A buzzer beater by a resilient Montgomery Bear team tore the hearts from the Panthers. It happened on the 5th shot of their last possession. That's hard to take, especially after leading by six with 1:20 remaining.

bullet

The only thing we're sure about at this point is that we are hurting so much because these Panthers mean so much. We love you guys more than words can ever express. We are so proud of you, because of who you are but also because that was probably the best game our Panthers have played all year. So much promise!

bullet

We do want to tip our hats to the Bears, a great team that refused to fold on the road. You certainly earned our respect. And we wish you the best down the road.

Panthers 59, New Caney 50

bullet

Awesome road win, Panthers! What a way to end the toughest week in KO history!

bullet

The Panthers never trailed for two possessions. They held Jayson Baker, perhaps the most dominant player in our district, to 10 points.

bullet

It wasn't easy. New Caney plays great defense. And a 15 point lead in the mid 4th quarter was cut to 5 in the last minute. The Panthers didn't panic. They took care of business at the free throw line (18 for 22 in the 4th quarter!), and secured the victory. Nice work.

bullet

The Panthers are two games (in the loss column) out of 2nd place at the turn, with 7 games remaining. Three of the next four games are at home. Remaining road games are at Caney Creek, Brenham and Willis.

bullet

If needed the Willis game will be finished. The Panthers had a 13 point lead with 7:29 to play at home against Willis.

Updates 2

bullet

Jarrett (the Willis player) was released from the hospital on Thursday. He is resting comfortably at home.

bullet

Mrs. Harrison, the wife of the Willis head coach, sent a wonderful e-mail message to KO Principal Jean Heiskell. Click here to read that message (with her permission).

Prayer Warriors Needed!

bullet

With 7:31 remaining in the game and the Panthers holding a 40-27 lead, basketball ceased to be important. A Willis player collapsed on the sidelines after coming out of the game complaining of chest pain.

bullet

KO trainer Brian Marr treated the player courtside, later joined by two volunteer firemen. [You're our hero, "Doc"!] The young man was semi-conscious and responsive, breathing on his own. CPR and defib were ready but not needed. The two teams joined together in a prayer circle.

bullet

After the ambulance finally arrived, the young man was transported to The Woodlands hospital. Another prayer circle was joined at mid-court by most of those in attendance. The game was suspended. Nobody was in much of a mood for basketball at that point. Many of the Klein Oak players headed to the hospital to stand beside their stricken opponent and his family.

bullet

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Willis player involved, his family, and his teammates.

bullet

And, Panthers, we thank God for you. I'm so thankful it wasn't one of you. And I'm in awe of the way you represented Klein Oak tonight. Class, Character, and Excellence is our school slogan. You set a new standard tonight, under the most trying circumstances. It's a standard the rest of us will have a nearly impossible challenge meeting. Thank you!

We miss you, Kevin.

Klein Oak lost yet another student, Kevin Chambers, on Saturday night due to a traffic accident. This one hits especially hard at KO Basketball because Kevin wanted to be a part of this program. Ineligibility prevented that. But Kevin had his academic life turned around this year before his life on earth was tragically ended Saturday night. Our prayers are with Kevin's family and friends, and especially with his twin brother Kyle.

Panthers, you are infinitely precious to all of us. You are not immortal. Kevin was so alive and full of promise on Friday. Now he's gone. Please learn from this and don't take any actions which could endanger your life. You are way too precious to lose. Honestly, we don't know how we could go on without each of you. Basketball is important, but it's not the most important thing. Just ask Kyle Chambers about what's important. Then pray for him. Please.

We will observe a moment of silence for Kevin before Tuesday's home game against Willis. Parents, please help us to drive the message here home. Right now, forcefully. And pass it along.

Heroic effort buried by 3s as Panthers fall to Brenham

bullet

Against the #5 ranked team in the state you have to play hard, play well, and get lucky. The Panthers checked off the first two. But after cutting the Cub lead to 49-40 in the 3rd quarter, the Cubs responded as you might expect, unleashing 8 threes over the last 7 minutes to put the game well out of reach.

bullet

The final score 93-58 unfortunately doesn't reflect how competitive the game really was, but those who saw it had to have left with great respect for the Panthers. Nice job, guys! We are very proud of you! Click here for some pictures.

bullet

The Panthers are in a hole at 1-4, but far from out of it. The schedule now is in our favor. In fact last year's team was 0-5 over these same games. The schedule is flipped this year; last year's team lost the first five games of the 2nd round. So it's time to get on a roll, Panthers, and win the last two games of round one, then duplicate the 3-0 start of last year's group, but this time in round two. Hang on!

bullet

Congratulations to the Freshmen Gold Panthers on another victory. We call them "the machine" around here! Click for some pictures. The Freshmen Black team hit a scoring drought at the wrong time (click for pictures) and fell to the Cubs, as did the JV. But it was a great effort on all levels.

New Scoreboards!

bullet

Thanks to the booster club for ordering new scoreboards for the KO gym! That is a huge improvement for our program, and all the other programs what will benefit from the much needed improvement!

bullet

Special thanks to Mike Rayburn for making it all possible by finding a matching funds sponsor!

Panthers fall to Waller 64-50

bullet

We just didn't play well. Mostly we didn't shoot well. 30% from two point range and 33% from three point range won't win on the road against a fine opponent like Waller. 27 turnovers didn't help. [We did win the battle on the boards 43-40, against superior size.]

bullet

Lesser teams would have folded in the 3rd quarter, but our Panthers made us proud, battling all the way - great defense even when the shots weren't falling. That's not easy, which is why so few teams do it.

bullet

You are warriors, Panthers, and we are proud of every one of you. Forever. Period.

bullet

The Panthers find themselves at 1-3. That's exactly where last year's 2nd place Montgomery team was a year ago. We believe in you, Panthers! Believe in yourselves, pull together, and let's roll!

Panthers dominate Caney Creek 81-44!

bullet

We got it turned around! The Panthers had their backs against the wall, and they knew it. They responded as we knew they would, with a dominating victory.

bullet

Coach Dibble asked the Panthers at halftime to get a 30 point lead for the 4th quarter so we could enjoy a relaxed victory. Ask and ye shall receive! Way to go, Panthers!

bullet

Every Panther contributed. It was a great team victory! Click here for some pictures courtesy of Mark Garrett!

bullet

And it completed a Panther sweep of Caney Creek! Congrats to all the sub-varsity Panthers also! JV pictures - click here! Freshmen pictures - click here!

Panthers fall 72-69 at Livingston

bullet

The Panthers jumped to an 18-4 lead before the turnovers started to pile up. But they piled up quickly as the Panthers were in a 21-19 hole at the quarter. After 22 turnover in the 1st half, the Panthers were down by only a point. Although the turnover situation improved in the 2nd half, the shooting dropped off as fatigue set in. After trailing by ten in the 4th quarter, the Panthers clawed back in it, but missed some opportunities down the stretch to turn things in our favor.

bullet

Hang in there, Panthers. We'll get this going our way. We believe in you!

Panthers 2-2 in Fredericksburg

bullet

After a four hour road trip the Panthers faced a very athletic Copperas Cove team. The Panthers seemed to handle the trip well, building a 7 point halftime lead and a 10 point lead after three periods. But ... "Cove" came back in the 4th. With the Panthers hanging on down the stretch, Cove mugged Austin Gracey and threw him to the floor in front of the Panther bench. Coach Dibble said "You have to call that." It must have struck a nerve. Instant T. Two free throws tied the game, but the Panther D held on the last possession. Then the Panthers regrouped and dominated the overtime for a 69-63 win, much to the relief of a grateful Coach Dibble. Thanks, guys! And thanks to KO's first coach (Coach Dibble's high school coach), Rick Penny, for traveling to Fredericksburg for the game. It was great to have you there, Rick!

bullet

After an emotionally and physically draining opening game, the Panthers were not at their best against a very good Providence team. And they needed to be. The Panthers hung in for a half, but were clearly out of gas down the stretch. The result was a disappointing 60-40 defeat.

bullet

A Sonic dinner, a good night's sleep (despite the best efforts of players from another team), and a nice breakfast at the Comfort Suites recharged the batteries for a 9:30 am game against Vista Ridge (the new-in-2003 sister school to Cedar Park). So we thought. But the Panthers were still asleep when the game started. A 10-2 V.R. lead produced a time out. After a few words of encouragement (!) from the coaches, the Panthers tied it at 10 at the quarter. A six point lead after three looked good, but had it tied at the end before they fouled Matt Evans. Bad choice. A time out to freeze Matt didn't work as he calmly drained both free throws for the 48-46 win!

bullet

The Panthers saved their best for last. They did everything but outscore a very good Lake Travis team. The Panthers had a four point lead and a possession with a minute remaining before half. Then disaster struck and they dug themselves a three point hole at the half. That was decisive, but it doesn't tell the story. The Cavs turned up the heat in the 2nd half. The Panthers fell to a 12 point deficit, but wouldn't fold. Heart and grit and great team spirit! The Panthers cut the lead, only to see it balloon to 12 again in the late 4th quarter. Quit? No way! The Panthers left everything - absolutely everything - on the floor at Fredericksburg. The lead was three with seconds left. After a desperate foul, the Cavs sealed their well deserved 61-56 victory with two free throws. The Panthers needed one more minute. They didn't win the game, but they won something much more important.

bullet

It was a great tournament! Thanks to Fredericksburg H.S. for being great hosts! Thanks to Michelle Bingham for making the trip to serve as our trainer and to Emily and Kari Dibble for the video! Thanks to all the parents for great support! Thanks to KISD Athletic Director Robert Young for changing our policy and making this possible!

bullet

And thanks, Panthers, for being the awesome young men you are. Your coaches have always believed in you, as people and as players. So much more so now after these two days. You make us very proud, and very thankful for the opportunity to share this season with you. And very excited about the weeks ahead. Let's go Oak!

Panthers down Pasadena 57-51

bullet

For a while it looked like the Panthers were going to blow the Eagles away. That was the 3rd quarter. After a slow start, the Panthers were dominating. But then we got greedy (?) or something and the game got entirely too close. But the Panthers caught themselves and made the plays down the stretch to secure the victory.

bullet

It was a win and we'll take it!

bullet

Merry Christmas, Panthers! Thanks for being young men who make us proud every day. Be careful and be safe. Let's have a great tournament at Fredericksburg!

Panthers fall to Montgomery 50-42

bullet

The effort was outstanding. The execution totally frustrating. The Panthers played just like they practiced this week, and that wasn't good. [Typical, though, for serious students in exam week.]

bullet

Shooting was abysmal, just like practice. 29% from two point range, 25% from three point range, 57% from the free throw line. It's just about impossible to win with that.

bullet

Montgomery wasn't much better, until the 4th quarter. Then they worked their offense and got layups. We shot threes. Bad idea!

Ouch! Panthers fall to Klein 82-51

bullet

First, what Klein did. 3 point shooting: 100% in the 1st quarter, 71% in the first half, 62% in the 3rd quarter, 55% for the game. 52% of 2 point shots. That's most of this game, folks. They were on fire.

bullet

The rest of the game was us. Sometimes, Panthers, you want something so desperately that it can mess with your mind in a way that makes it impossible to achieve. Like beating Klein. Your webmaster has been at KO long enough to understand completely. And I firmly believe that is what happened to us this night.

bullet

We didn't do what we know how to do, what we know we can do. We didn't keep our poise in the face of a fast Klein start and so we let it snowball. I understand that, Panthers, because the team brain cramp ran from the statistician up.

bullet

As Coach Dibble says, "Don't lose the lesson!" There are many other big games that we will all desperately want to win - starting with Friday night at Montgomery. So channel that energy, make it a positive. It begins by finding a way to let this one go. You have to help one another do that because it's a team thing. Be there for one another.

Panthers claim Consolation Championship!

bullet

Panthers 61, Oak Ridge 45
Wow! What a great team victory!

bullet

The Panthers had opened the season with a slim 51-47 win at home against the War Eagles. So a neutral court match up looked even. But the Panthers made it clear from the outset which team had improved more. The Panthers jumped out to a 16-4 1st quarter lead, led 35-16 at the half, and 53-25 after three.

bullet

Congratulations to Senior Kyle Flores and Junior Austin Gracey who were selected to the All-Tournament Team! It is a testament to the awesome team mentality of the Panthers that choosing just two was very hard to do. So these two accepted the medals on behalf of the team.

bullet

Panthers, we are so very proud of all of you!

Panthers rebound, beat Willis!

bullet

The Panthers got off to a fast start, unlike the previous night, but the Wildkats wouldn't fold. The game went back and forth between a tie and a six or eight point Panthers lead.  The Panthers were pressed down the stretch but this time the Panthers gutted up and secured the victory 50-44. Nice work, Panthers!

bullet

The Panthers take on Oak Ridge - for the second time - Saturday at 11:30 at Dayton H.S. See the varsity schedule for a map.

Panther JV falls to Cy-Springs

The Panthers faced a very athletic and sharp shooting Cy-Springs team with only 7 players available. The Panthers fought hard, but couldn't keep up and lost 73-52.

Panthers fall to Vidor 50-46

bullet

The Panthers had a six point lead with four minutes to go but a series of mistakes down the stretch opened the door for Vidor and cost the Panthers a loss.

Panthers fall just short.

bullet

Your Webmaster was a skeptic, I confess. After watching Pasadena Memorial obliterate a good Dallas Hillcrest team in a tournament game, I didn't think our Panthers had a chance. But the Panthers showed incredible heart against the big, athletic Mavericks and enjoyed a 10 point lead at the half. Amazing.

bullet

Memorial came roaring back in the 3rd quarter. But the Panthers seemed to weather the storm, retaking the lead. But - credit to where credit is due - the Mavericks made the plays down the stretch to escape with a 69-65 victory.

bullet

Louie Black led the Panthers in scoring with 15, followed by Tim Garrett and Kyle Flores with 11 and 10, respectively. Adrian Cabungcal led on the boards with 9, followed by Jordan Seal with 8. Austin Gracey led the assists with 6.

bullet

We're proud of you, Panthers. You have made incredible progress over the last three weeks!

J.V. Wins 3rd at C.E. King!

bullet

Congratulations to the J.V. Panthers for finishing 3rd in the C.E. King Tournament. The Panthers defeated Dulles 71-56 in the 3rd place game!

Panthers run past Concordia!

bullet

The Crusaders won the warm-up. This is an impressive team in a lot of ways. They have all the ingredients.

bullet

Our Panthers refused to be intimidated. Coach Dibble promised to "uncork the offense" and the Panthers obliged with a 72 point performance and a 72-54 victory! It wasn't as easy as it sounds as the Crusaders came back strong in the 3rd quarter. The Panthers had to respond to the challenge and they did!

bullet

This was simply a great team victory over a quality opponent. Unselfish play by all the Panther guards with great dumps to the post! Great defense in the post against superior size. We out rebounded them! Terrific job, Panthers!

bullet

Not to be outdone was the Panther JV. In the first impressive, full-game effort of the season, the Panthers showed their talent.

bullet

The Panther freshmen were also impressive in an 11 point victory, completing the sweep for Oak!

Panthers repay Magnolia!

bullet

One year ago the Panther varsity entered the Magnolia game on a four game win streak and with great confidence. Two hours later they left with a devastating 75-30 loss.

bullet

This year's varsity was determined to avenge that defeat, but turning around such a loss would take a true TEAM effort. And that they produced, with an exciting 44-41 victory over the Bulldogs!

bullet

Defense! From 75 points to 41. Magnolia had scored 59 the night before against Brenham. Great work, Panthers! We are very proud of our TEAM, and thankful for each of its awesome young men!

bullet

Highlights? How about 3 for 4 (including one 3) and 8 rebounds from Kyle Flores. 8 points, 5 rebounds (amazing!) and 4 assists from point guard Austin Gracey. 7 boards from Jordan Seal.

bullet

And what can we say about Tim Garrett in crunch time? How about 1 for 1 and 6 for 8 from the line? Clutch. Gutsy. Vintage Tim Garrett! Depend on it!

Mr. Take Charge!

bullet

Ask any coach what stat impresses them most and he will say the "take charge." Stopping those frustrating layups often means being willing to sacrifice one's body for the team. That takes uncommon courage; the intuitive thing is to protect yourself by moving away.

bullet

Meet Kyle Flores! Kyle took his 8th charge of the season, and had two more attempts, in the Magnolia game. That's 8 charges taken in 9 games. And that's special.

bullet

When not taking charges Kyle is a 6'2" post working down low against, in every game thus far, bigger and perhaps stronger guys. Nobody, though, has a bigger heart than Kyle Flores! It shows. Thanks, Kyle! You are a special gift to Klein Oak Basketball this year.

Texas Invitational Tourn.

bullet

The Panthers had fun Saturday morning, downing Houston Reagan 61-36 and playing everyone equal minutes. But they ran out of gas, playing the sixth game in three days against a very athletic Baytown Sterling team, falling 64-39. [Most of the difference was in the 4th quarter when the Panthers were just spent.] Still, we're very proud of you, Panthers! You made great strides of improvement over these three days!

bullet

The Panthers took it on the chin twice again Friday. No, this isn't fun. But tomorrow will be because the Panthers turned a big corner at halftime of the second game today. The Panthers play Houston Reagan at 9:00 am at Clear Creek (girls gym). See the bracket for information.

bullet

Well, it wasn't a good start. The Panthers lost twice on Thursday. See the varsity schedule for details.

Panthers win!

bullet

The Varsity came from behind to down Oak Ridge 51-47.
Matt Evans led the way with 15 points and four rebounds. Austin Gracey was great at point with 11 points and five boards. Jordan Seal led the rebounding with seven and also had nine points. Great job, Panthers!

bullet The JV and Freshmen Gold teams also won, while the Sophomores and Freshmen Black teams fell in close contests.
